How to Apply our Vitilox Pigmentation Cream:
Our Vitilox Pigmentation Cream has been available for over 6 years now, and we know from our assessments received, and consultations carried out that this product is one of the most successful available for the treatment of Vitiligo. We have closely watched the progress and results of this unique product, and together with our patients have managed to write a summary of some of the most successful techniques in applying the cream for faster and effective results.
Vitilox Cream Application:
The Cream is best applied to the Vitiligo affected areas of the body after bathing or washing those areas. The evenings or mornings are the best time to apply the cream. The water needs to be warm to hot, (not too hot that it burns) but just enough to open the pores of the skin. This enables the cream to absorb quick and deep into the skin cells and treat the melanocytes of your skin.
The melanocytes are the cells which produce your own natural skin tone.
Once you have washed the Vitiligo areas you wish to treat, you then need to dry the skin before applying the cream.
NB: If your skin is still wet when you apply the cream it shall not absorb deeply into the skin, and you shall not obtain the desired results.
The drying process is very important as the cream does need to absorb into the skin to treat the damaged melanocytes.
Make sure your skin is washed and dry before application of the Vitilox Pigmentation Cream:
Only a small amount of cream is required per application. If correctly applied, it does not leave an oily film on your skin.
If you are using a makeup or foundation, you can then add it over the treated area. The cream will be under the upper dermis, (epidermis layer) or skin surface, and shall not interfere with your other skin product applications. In fact, the Vitilox Pigmentation Cream will act as the perfect moisturizer to your skin.
A good example here is our Vitilox Cover cream that is used to camouflage spots or patches on the skin. We only apply this over the Vitilox Pigmentation cream, and it spreads easily and enables the cream to go to work below the skin while you have the benefit of being covered up.
Vitilox pigmentation cream is also excellent to apply after treatment with the UVB lamp. Once you have completed your treatment apply a thin layer of cream over the area you treated. It soothes, moisturizes and heals your skin.
Vitilox Face application:
The treatment of the face is normally the easiest and the one area where we see fast results. The skin on the face is thinner than most other areas of the body, and our cream is able to penetrate into the dermis layer of the skin and treat the melanocytes a lot quicker. Remember that you only need to apply a very small amount of the Cream to the face.
The skin located under the eyes and around the eyelids is the thinnest skin in the body at 0.5 mm thick, and is one of the first areas to show signs of pigmentation if you are treating this area.
When treating the face, apply the cream in the mornings and evenings after washing your face with warm water. Dry the skin, and apply the cream over the areas being treated. Wait a few minutes before applying your make up or foundation.
Treating Vitiligo Joint Areas Successfully:
Your Joint areas are basically your hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, feet, hips, neck and underarms.
We normally find that the visible areas, (hands and neck) are the areas that patients wish to treat first. Joint areas are under constant motion, and movement trauma, and do take longer to treat than other parts of the body.
However, if you read our testimonials and have a look at our Video’s, you will see that these areas can be treated, and it does take patience.
We also recommend applying the Cream twice a day to the hands and neck, or any joint areas where you wish to speed up the pigmentation results.
Treating the Chest, Stomach, and Genitals:
The chest, stomach, legs, arms and genitals fall into the medium or general category of areas that we treat with our pigmentation creams. These areas are generally treated once a day, in the evenings or mornings, after washing or bathing the Vitiligo areas you wish to apply the cream to.
We find that daily application in these areas is enough to see successful results.
Once again, make sure these areas are dry before applying the Cream.
