The Vitiligo condition appears as white and irregularly shaped white patches on the skin. They will appear on different areas of the body. The body’s immune system causes the good skin cells, melanocytes, to attack each other. Melanocytes produces melanin which is responsible for our natural skin tone. Vitiligo can be successfully treated however follow up maintenance is required. Below we discuss Vitiligo treatment and the follow-up maintenance plan.

Vitiligo Treatment & Follow-up Plan
Absence of Pigmentation – Vitiligo

Treatment Options

Our Vitilox range includes treatment suitable for joint areas, high and low body coverage, genetically caused Vitiligo as well as face including lip treatment. Children who suffer from Vitiligo can also safely use our products.

Our treating focuses largely on the areas of de-pigmented skin. However we also treat the underlying immune deficiency. And just as important we include treatment for the stress caused by Vitiligo.

Our clients generally report that it takes about 3 weeks to see results. The returning pigmentation will generally be small freckles appearing within the white patches of Vitiligo. We have had feedback from clients reporting that pigmentation started within 2 weeks of treatment while others have persevered and only seen pigmentation start appearing after 3 months.

People who have had Vitiligo for a number of years or with a high body coverage may find that treatment takes longer. In these cases it could take six weeks or longer to see the first signs of pigment or skin tone appearing. However, once pigmentation is seen, it generally accelerates the positive results. It is then just a matter of time until full pigmentation is realized.
